Symptoms : and Consequences :
ArMV and GFLV cause Fanleaf Degeneration and Yellow Mosaic diseases of grapevines. A vein banding disease is caused by a mix of grapevine Yellow Speckle Viroid and GFLV. GFLV is mainly a disease of the leaves, however it greatly reduces fruit yield. Systemic green or yellow mosaics, ring patterns, line patterns, flecks, leaf and nodal malformation are the main symptoms of infected plants. Shortening of internodes, zigzag growth, fasciation on the shoots and acute indentation on the leaves may also be observed. Young vines may exhibit ring patterns, line patterns and oil spots.
