OGM detection in cakes ( Soybean, canola...)

Description : Using Flashkits ® strips for the detection of GMOs in cakes (soybean, canola...)
SIMPLIFIED PROTOCOL - Manual provided with the full kit.
Contents of Kit : X ® Flashkits strips in 1 plastic tube with desiccant. X pipettes and plastic vials.
Not included in the Kit (necessary to use the kit) : X litres of distilled water and X disposable plastic cups.
Procedure : use a minimum of 20 to 25 grams of cake per sample to test.
1. Take a subsample of 20 to 25 grams of cake.
2. Grind / finely grinding the sample with a shredder adequate at high speed.
3. Put the entire sample and crushed in a disposable plastic cup.
4. Add 100 ml and 120 ml of distilled water or demineralized in disposable plastic cup.
5. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds, to obtain a homogeneous mixture of broyat of cake and water (you can also use an electric mixer).
6. Allow the solution about 2 minutes (to avoid having too many plant debris suspended).
7. Using a disposable pipette collect 0.5 mL of liquid surface (clear liquid) and the drop in a microvial.
8. Place the strip into the tube (down arrows).
9. Wait 5 to 10 minutes and read the result.
10. If one line appears, the witness line (top) on the strip, the test is negative. If 2 lines appear, the witness line (top) and the test line (bottom) the test is positive.
11. Apply dilution protocol attached.
IMPORTANT : If no line is, the test did not work. Repeat the test with a new strip. If the test or lines (bottom) coloured (s) in green, gray or brown is the test is negative or invalid. These colors are caused by an accumulation of plant debris and dust that clog the membrane and prevents a normal migration to the lines and test witness.
ATTENTION : Clean in-depth tools used between two checks.
The sampling and the number of samples remain the basis of a representative. AGDIA BIOFORDS can not be held responsible for the consequences of sampling poorly drawn or an insufficient number of samples, and therefore not statistically representative of a lot of cake.
For a representative sample, depending on the characteristics of the lot to control, consult the tables statistics.
CONSIGNES CORNER : take care store Flashkits ® strips unused in their original packaging, with the desiccant. DO NOT FOLD THE STRIPS - Keep cool to 4 / 6 ° Celsius
