OGM detection on leaves from plants in the field ( corn... )

The Flashkits ® strips detect the presence of transgenic proteins to levels of concentration specific plant GMOs.
Contents of Kit X ® Flashkits strips in 1 plastic tube with desiccant. X plastic pipettes. X vials. X grams of powder buffer extraction SEB4 (5.7 gr to be diluted in 1 liter of distilled water).
Not included in the Kit (necessary to use the kit) X litres of distilled water and disposable plastic cups X
SIMPLIFIED PROCEDURE - Full notice joined with kit
100 pieces of leaves per sample :
1. Take samples from 100 different plants (each sheet to cut a disc of 5mm in diameter with caps of the vials or a perforeuse).
2. Putting samples of leaves and cut in a disposable plastic cup.
3. Add 40 ml and 60 ml of extraction buffer diluted in the plastic cup to cover plant material and grind / crush the leaves mixed with buffer with an object contendant adequate to extract the maximum juice leaf.
4. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds, to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
5. Allow the solution about 2 minutes (to avoid having too many plant debris suspended).
6. Using a disposable pipette collect 0.5 mL of liquid surface (clear liquid) and the drop in a microvial.
7. Place the strip into the tube (down arrows). Wait 5 to 10 minutes and read the result.
8. For simple testing kits a single type of GMO :
If one line appears, the witness line (top) on the strip, the test is negative. If 2 lines appear, the witness line (top) and the test line (bottom) the test is positive.
9. For testing kits combined two types GMOs (a witness line and two lines test)
If one line appears, the witness line (top) on the strip, the test is negative. If the line of control (above) appears and if one or two lines test (bottom) appear then the test is positive for one or two GMOs.
The Flashkits permit if a single test line is colored red to know the GMO concerned. See also our website. Important : If no line is, the test did not work. Repeat the test with a new strip. If the test or lines (bottom) coloured (s) in green, gray or brown is the test is negative or invalid. These colors are caused by an accumulation of plant debris and dust that clog the membrane and prevents a normal migration to the lines and test witness.
ATTENTION : deep cleaning tools used between two checks. The sampling and the number of samples remain the basis of a representative. BIOFORDS could not be held responsible for the consequences of sampling poorly drawn or an insufficient number of samples, and therefore not statistically representative of a plot. For a representative sample, according to the settlement and the size of the plot to control, consult the tables statistics.
NOTE : if you want to check that culture itself has not been polluted by a nearby transgenic culture, it will then be tested on seeds from this culture. We refer to the procedure.
CONSIGNES CORNER : take care store Flashkits strips unused in their original packaging, with the desiccant.
DO NOT FOLD THE STRIPS - Keep cool to 4 / 6 ° Celsius
