Calibrachoa appears to be the primary host with successful mechanical transmission in Chenopodium quinoa, C. capitatum, Nicotiana benthamiana, and N. clevelandii. Work is ongoing to identify a vector for CbMV.
The test is offered as alkaline phosphatase labeled DAS ELISA test system as well as an ImmunoStrip test. These formats offer the sensitivity and flexibility necessary to monitor crops for CbMV infection. CbMV ImmunoStrips must be used with SEB1 buffer. SEB1 buffer is available in a sample extract bag ACC 00936, or as a powder ACC 00996. Please see accessories for a listing of SEB1 buffer products. ImmunoStrip kits include sample extract bags.
