AGDIA BIOFORDS main goal is the development, the validation and the commercialization of detection kits based on immunology in the following fields:

Genetically Modified Organisms, Plants Pathogenic, Plants Growth Hormones Water Toxins.

Each business unit is monitor by a Product and Marketing manager with a scientific and commercial back ground.

AGDIA BIOFORDS takes action in the following fields: Vegetables, Ornamentals, Potatoes, Grapes and Wineyards, Stone Fruits, Citrus fruits, GMO’s traits and Environment.

We offer two types of products: Reagent Sets and Rapid Kits usually called Flashkit®.

The Reagent Set allow to realize the ELISA test on more than 250 plants parasites and more than ten GMO (transgenic traits). The Reagent Set are mostly designed for private and public Laboratories, for some Administration Departments, for Universities and Companies with laboratories.

The Flashkits® are designed as immunologic detection strips and work the same as pregnancy tests. Easy-to-use, cheap, they do not require a scientific knowledge. Our Flashkits® allow saving time and money more than 50% compare to ELISA tests and 80% compare to PCR tests.

The Flashkits® detect:

* All Genetically Modified Organisms on corn, soy, rape and sugar beet. The targeted businesses are the seeds companies and the animal and human food producers.

* The main known Ornamentals plants parasites. The targeted businesses are the seeds companies, plants nurseries and special laboratories.

* The 3 most important pests on Potatoes: PVY, PLRV and Ralstonia (quarantine pathogen). The targeted businesses are plants potato producers and Plant Protection Agencies.

* Most of the pathogens in Vegetables and in particularly the Solanaceae family. The targeted businesses are the seeds companies, plant producers and the greenhouse companies (tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelons and cantaloupes).

The French company BIOFORDS has been founded in 1988 by Marc MASSON, former scientific director of the Seeds Company CLAUSE, with a back-ground in potato and turf grass breeding, and a large experience in research works at the Wisconsin University, Madison, USA. At the beginning, BIOFORDS was focussed in biotechnology supports and transfers for the seeds and breeding companies. In 2005, BIOFORDS became the exclusive agent of the US company AGDIA, the international leader for plants parasites serums and genetically modified organisms and became AGDIA’s scientific and commercial platform for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In 2006, BIOFORDS opens its capital to AGDIA in order to consolidate the existent agreements, reinforce its commercial structure, setting down a research and development unity intend to improve its expertise, engage some scientific cooperation with French and Europeans partners in order to develop and validate some specifics products to the need of its Europeans, Africans and Middle Eastern customers. In 2008, AGDIA/BIOFORDS settle down in Genopole, a gene and biotech city based in Evry, Essonne (France).
